The season of awards in the automotive industry usually kicks off around the time of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), and wraps up by April. That means there's plenty of time for our Tacoma enthusiasts to learn about all the exciting new Audi models getting noticed! The latest, however, may not come as a surprise to those in which it's a known quantity. We'll give you a hint: Car and Driver once punned it "A-Four-ce" to be reckoned with.

If your immediate answer before the cut was the recently-redesigned sport sedan, you have "pre-sensed" your way to victory! Not only does that standard safety equipment on the 2018 A4 make it a class-leader in the value sense, but contributed to it being named the Cars-dot-com "Luxury Car of the Year" at the NAIAS in the Motor City.

Since it arrived on the scene last year, the redesigned A4 struck a balance between familiar and progress by putting the details to task, and integrating them with intelligence never before seen in a sport sedan. With the exclusive company of leather upholstery on entry-point models, a variety of safety systems, and no-cost Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone functionality, it also one-upped its rivals in a cost-effective way that luxury cars aren't often known for.

The "Luxury Car of the Year" title also included a more important "sport sedan" quality: acceleration and handling. With 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque from a TFSI inline-four meeting the refined power-routing of a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, the 2018 A4 boasts a class-topping 0-60 time of 5.7 seconds, and plenty of driver-configurable smiles in between. But for all its brawn, the A4's ride and cabin are comfort and quiet in equal measure.

Rounded out by connected driver assistance, infotainment, and the Virtual Cockpit systems, the cincher for the honor was how both A4 sedan and A4 Allroad balance its intelligence with luxurious plushness and versatility. If there's any premium sedan or wagon to test drive this year, there's an athletic, tech-forward balance to discover in Audi's sport sedan.

To get a quattro-like grip to provide TFSI-like boost toward your premium car ambitions, our Fife, WA showroom will assist you in the Audi way. For every intuitive interface, there's a common-sense answer from our sales team, and it won't be long before you find yourself enjoying the four ring experience on a test drive.
